A bathroom better suited to family life
The existing layout no longer gave the household the function or privacy it needed.
The client wanted to improve the main bathroom while creating a separate toilet and powder room. This would allow children, family members and guests to use the spaces independently, without placing every daily routine within one room.
Reconfiguring the layout around how the rooms would be used
Working alongside YDM Design Studio, One Stop Renovate reconfigured the floor plan and relocated the toilet to create two distinct spaces.
The revised arrangement gave the family a dedicated main bathroom and a separate powder room, improving privacy and making the layout more practical when several people needed to use the area at the same time.
Plumbing, joinery and the surrounding finishes were coordinated around the new floor plan so each element worked as part of the broader renovation.
The renovation needed to make better use of the available floor plan while delivering a finish that felt refined and settled within the home.
Bespoke joinery and natural stone finishes
Custom joinery was designed to provide useful storage while maintaining the clean, refined character of the rooms.
Natural stone benchtops and splashbacks introduced depth and material consistency, helping the bathroom and powder room feel connected without making the two spaces identical.
The result is a more functional bathroom renovation for this Carnegie family, with improved privacy, considered storage and a finish designed to suit the home for years to come.
