A bathroom planned around comfort and daily use
The existing bathroom and toilet were divided into two separate rooms, limiting the available space and making the layout less practical for the household.
The clients wanted to create one larger bathroom that would better support their adult daughter’s needs while improving comfort and usability for the family over the long term.
The renovation needed to provide more space without losing privacy or making the room feel exposed.

The aim was to create a bathroom that felt more generous while still giving each part of the room a clear purpose.
Opening up the room while protecting privacy
The original bathroom and toilet were separated by a dividing wall, which restricted movement and made both rooms feel smaller than they needed to be.
Removing that wall allowed the available area to be reconsidered as one larger bathroom. Plumbing and electrical services were repositioned to support the new arrangement, while a newly built partition created a more private shower zone within the open plan.

A cavity sliding door was selected to keep the entrance clear and avoid losing valuable floor space to a door swing. This helped the room feel less confined and made everyday movement easier.
Comfort built into the new layout
Underfloor heating added another layer of comfort to a bathroom designed for regular, long-term use.
The revised plan gave the family a room with more space, clearer separation between key areas and a layout better suited to their adult daughter’s daily needs.
The finished Turner St bathroom brings privacy, warmth and practical movement together in one contemporary space created specifically for the household.
